Camel Racing in Dubai
Camel Racing is a truly fantastic local sport and a must see whilst in Dubai. You will be amazed at how fast camels can run. Near Nad Al Sheba you will see camels training on the track. The camels have to cross the main road to reach the track, they have the right of way!so please ensure you slow down. Should you hit a camel in your motor vehicle you may be sued by the owner. A new law was brought in last year which means children can no longer ride camels in competitive races. Special robotic jockeys have been tried and tested. You will see a car following close behind the camels with a man using a remote control to operate the jockey’s movements.
